Pizza Hut has a heartwarming treat in store for the unsung heroes of the holiday season – delivery drivers. In today’s world, where DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Amazon ensure anything can be brought to your doorstep, these drivers toil tirelessly to make it happen.

Now, if you choose to indulge in a Pizza Hut meal while cozying up at home, you might just cover the cost of your delivery person’s meal without spending an extra dime.

This generous offer extends beyond Pizza Hut’s own drivers. UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and all those hustling through the bustling season delivering packages will have the chance to snag a $25 Pizza Hut gift card in a new promotional offer.

Commencing on December 6th, customers can order what the company terms a “reverse delivery mat” – a doormat designed to resemble a cardboard pizza box (though it’s not actually cardboard). The mat bears the message “Leave a box, get a box” alongside a QR code. When scanned by drivers, this code enables them to redeem a gift card code for a well-deserved free pizza.

Lindsay Morgan, Pizza Hut’s Chief Marketing Officer, shared in an interview with CNN, “We aimed to spread joy among these hardworking delivery drivers.”

Act quickly if you’re considering getting one of these mats at no cost to yourself. These mats are available for order on shopatpizzahut.com, but the company is limiting the distribution to 50 mats daily from the 6th to the 10th of December. That adds up to 250 mats, leading to 4,000 gift cards given out across several days. Delivery drivers can avail themselves of their gift cards via the mats until December 27, according to Morgan.

The company plans to donate $100,000 worth of free pizza to these delivery drivers. A $25 card covers the cost of a large pizza at most locations, but Pizza Hut is also extending its offerings with a $7 “Deal Lover’s” menu and a Family Pasta Pair comprising two pasta dishes and breadsticks for $13.99 plus tax.

To prevent misuse and ensure the cards reach the intended recipients, individuals scanning the QR code will need to provide personal information like their full name, email address, and shipping address. Each person is entitled to one gift card, with a total of 4,000 cards to be distributed.

“We have faith that by honoring our delivery drivers in this way, people will not abuse this gesture and allow those dedicating countless hours this holiday season to savor their favorite Pizza Hut meal,” Morgan added.
