The Dallas Cowboys triumphed on Thanksgiving, securing a dominant 45-10 win against the Washington Commanders.

Quarterback Dak Prescott showcased his prowess, throwing 22-of-32 for 331 yards and four touchdowns. Notably, he indulged in a turkey leg alongside lineman Zack Martin during the game’s closing moments.

The game etched its place in NFL history when Cowboys’ defensive back DaRon Bland intercepted Commanders’ quarterback Sam Howell, achieving his fifth ‘pick-six’ of the year and setting a new single-season record with six weeks still remaining.

Prescott lauded Bland’s performance, highlighting his dedication and exceptional playmaking abilities. Bland, in turn, expressed gratitude for the milestone, emphasizing the significance of achieving it on Thanksgiving.

Yet, stealing the spotlight was none other than country music icon Dolly Parton, who captivated audiences during the Salvation Army’s 27th annual Red Kettle Kickoff Halftime Show. Her renditions of classics like ‘Jolene’ and ‘9 to 5,’ donned in a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit, mesmerized viewers and generated buzz across social media platforms.

Former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, alongside broadcaster Jim Nantz, praised Parton’s remarkable performance on the CBS broadcast, acknowledging her as an American treasure.

Thanksgiving also witnessed victories for the Green Bay Packers, securing a 29-22 win against the Detroit Lions, and the San Francisco 49ers, triumphing over the Seattle Seahawks with a score of 31-13.
